Richard A. Miller
Richard (Rick) Miller, Polk County born and raised, is a fourth generation Lakelander. He is proof positive that you can't take Lakeland boys out of Lakeland! Rick attended Stetson University and Florida State law school, graduating with honors in 1981. He remains a staunch Florida Gator, despite his support of the Clemson University tuition plan for three of his four children. (Yes, the fourth is a Gator.)
Rick has practiced law for 35 years and is board certified in Real Estate Law, a certification attained by less than one percent of all Florida attorneys. He represents buyers, sellers and lenders in residential and commercial real estate transactions, as well as in the area of complex wills and estates. Rick has been judged by his peers as a top Florida lawyer, earning the Martindale-Hubbell® AV-rated lawyer, the highest ranking that can be attained by a lawyer. Most of all, he's a guy you know you can trust; a guy you can come to for answers.
Rick is married to Betty, and the couple have 4 children, Zach, Merry Mac, Mac, and T-Buddy. Rick and Betty also have three grandchildren, Hampton, Preston and Thomas. When not working, Rick enjoys hunting and fishing.
Philip H. Bush
Philip H. (Phil) Bush was born in Annapolis, Maryland and raised in Lexington, Kentucky. A 1988 Furman University graduate, he received his law degree from Stetson University College of Law in 1991. Phil then moved to Lakeland where he was in private practice for 14 years before joining Peterson & Myers, P.A. in September of 2005.
An active Lakelander, Phil is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, a past member of the Board of Trustees of the Polk Theatre, a graduate of Leadership Lakeland Class XII and has been a VISTE board member since 2012.
A partner-level attorney with more than 20 years’ experience in all facets of real estate law, business transactions, and banking law, Phil's experience includes commercial real estate development, leasing, commercial lending and landlord/tenant matters, and he is an approved agent for Attorney’s Title Insurance Fund and Old Republic National Title Insurance Company. In short, Phil has an abundance of experience in a wide variety of real estate and business transactions and Miller Law is proud to have him.
Phil is married to Stefanie, and the couple have two children, Catherine and Alexander. When not working, Phil enjoys playing golf and running.
Theodore R. M. Miller
Theodore R. M. Miller (T. Buddy) was born and raised in Lakeland, Florida, a fourth generation Lakelander and a fifth generation Floridian.
A firm advocate for Florida’s agricultural and tourism roots, T. Buddy earned his Bachelor of Science from University of Florida College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (minoring in Agricultural and Natural Resource Law) before entering the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he graduated in 2018.
T. Buddy’s University of Florida career included being chosen for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Leadership Institute and serving as president of both the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences Council and his fraternity, Alpha Gamma Rho. During law school, he was elected President of Florida Blue Key and was inducted into the University of Florida Hall of Fame in 2015.
T. Buddy is the proud son of Betty and Rick Miller and brother to Zach (Callie), Mac (Kathleen), and Merry Mac. From grade school forward, T. Buddy was set on becoming a lawyer, “just like Dad and Grandad.”
